The Commute; Afternoon nap on the Overground

Whilst commuting across London I watch people go by, I let faces, clothes, positions catch my eye. If I have time I sketch them I do so, trying to pinpoint the things which will jog my memory. When I move on to painting, I attempt to remember fine details which initially caught my eye and focus on portraying how and why they left a lasting impression. I build a relationship with the subjects as part of the process. At the end of the process, I attach a colour to the overall image to represent the idea which I have reconstructed of each person.<br><br>**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS UNFRAMED<br>
