Titled 'Cretan Door', this acrylic painting comes unframed. Mainly applied with the palette knife, its thick impasto creates surface texture, making this a quite striking piece. It belongs to my 'Doors and Windows' series, and attempts to capture the strong light of the Mediterranean and a flavour of some untouched corner of a village on the island of Crete.
